June 5, 2002

Worcester, MA (June 5, 2002) --- Cyagra, Inc. announces the launching of its cloned pig business.  Cyagra, Inc., a subsidiary of Advanced Cell Technology, Inc. is headquartered in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Cyagra President and CEO, Dr. Michael West said “Our goal is to provide those in the swine business a profitable way to preserve and ensure they can repeat their best genetics just like we have done with cattle cloning.”  Since producing the world's first cloned transgenic calves in 1998, Cyagra has cloned nearly 100 of the very best beef and dairy cattle.

Dr. West attributes Cyagra’s success to its superior scientific staff and commitment to research and development. Cyagra’s portfolio holds more than 160 U.S. and international patents including the exclusive worldwide license for the most extensive mammalian cloning patent ever issued.
